Jammu,02, December;Khadi & Village Industries Commission State Office Jammu organized a UT Level Monitoring Committee Meeting of PMEGP Scheme under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary Industries & Commerce (J&K UT) Prashant Goyal, to review the performance/ achievement made in implementation of PMEGP scheme.
Apart from Sh. S.P Khandelwal – State Director KVIC the meeting was attended by Sh. Pawan Kumar – DGM SBI, Sh. Farrukh Qazi – CEO/Secretary KVIB, Rajesh Dubey – DGM J&K Bank, Suresh Chander Sharma – GM J&K Grameen Bank, G.P Praveen AGM NABARD, Ms. Rifat Kamar – District Manager JKWDC, Kuldeep Koul – Area Manager Ellaquai Dehati Bank, Balbir Kumar – Chief Manager PNB, Sanwal Dogra – Branch Head SIDBI, Ghulam Qadir Khatana – GM J&K SC/ST & OBC Development Corp., Anil Kumar Sharma Assistant Director & Nodal Officer PMEGP – KVIC & Ms. Saloni Rai – Director Industries & Commerce Kashmir joined through VC.
S.P Khandelwal State Director KVIC informed that, in the year 2021-22 KVIC, DIC & KVIB; in J&K has established the highest number of manufacturing & service units i.e. 21,640 units under its flagship scheme PMEGP and created the highest no. of employment i.e. 1.73 Lakhs; in comparison with all other states and UT in India.
These units have been established with a total capital of Rs. 2101 Crore. A total margin money subsidy of Rs. 467 Crore was disbursed which is the highest among all other states & UT’s.

To promote & award innovation & excellence of successful entrepreneurs of PMEGP scheme and motivate people & Institutions to contribute significantly, Ministry of MSME, Govt. Of India has taken the initiative of distributing PMEGP awards, for which nominations are invited online from successful entrepreneurs.
Prashant Goyal directed Implementing agencies for motivating PMEGP entrepreneurs for maximum nominations for this award.
